I made this video to start a conversation and it has certainly started a conversation about many subjects including pilot behavior, safety in the air, flight performance, what a stall can be and more a whole lot more. Read the feedback and you might begin to understand and realize how complex a subject can be. Seeing is not necessarily believing. This file is in the public domain atbout the C-17 - This image or file is a work of a U.S. Air Force Airman or employee, taken or made during the course of the person's official duties. As a work of the U.S. federal government, the image or file is in the public domain
http://www.roydawsonhomes.com. The complete video of the final mishap flight of the Boeing C-17 that crashed in Alaska in 2010. Compare this to the B-52 crash in this video. Similar results in completely different aircraft designs.
THERE WERE NO SURVIVORS: PILOT HOTDOGGING B-52 JET AT AIRSHOW. A TOTAL STALL LOW TO GROUND. NO CHANCE TO RECOVER. At fairchild airforce base. The B-52 Stratofortress has no ailerons as they would cause excessive twisting of the highly flexible wing. It achieves roll control entirely through spoilerons mounted near the center of the wing in about the same place as most gliders. Therefore in this situation when the plane banks to the left the pilot uses full right spoilerons therefore increasing and losing more lift in this critical situation.
