I loved looking through them because the color arrangements were so pretty! In the front of the magazine they have a color wheel and some hints as to how to put colors together for decorating one's home. The color palettes listed were:
Complementary- colors across from each other on the color wheel, ex. red and green
Split Complementary- across the wheel again but split so you'd use the colors on each side of the opposite color, ex red and greenish blue and yellowish green.
Monotone- same shades of one color
Analogous- 3 colors next to each other on the color wheel
I had found a pretty plate and while it didn't match any of the palettes I mentioned, I noticed it did have all primary colors; red, blue, and yellow. The cake in this video has those 3 colors, I was pretty excited about how well this turned out :D
I wish I had known this years ago, there are a few cakes that would have been much prettier!
